If you're not familiar with the term "Sudani Style", this is what it looks like.
Yes, the lip of the wheel sticks out inches away from the tire to show the barrel... The tire is perfectly seated in the barrel still holding air.
This style comes from Japan and is claimed by a guy named Kazuki Sudani. The first picture that Kazuki posted on his Instagram with this style was dated back in 2014. Is he the first to come out with this exposed barrel style? I don't know, but he is the first to claim it and name it after himself.
From that time in 2014 till now it evolved from showing a little barrel to excessive barrel. Even the way to do it, in Europe they achieve the "Sudani Style" by creating a lip in the middle so the tire sits perfectly. I believe the reason why they do that is for safety reasons, so it doesn't bead over while driving.
The LOVE/HATE poll for this "Sudani Style", definitely gets more hate from people. A lot of people that hate on it are the purist and performance enthusiast, the same enthusiast that hates on the stance scene. Many of the enthusiast that like this "Sudani Style" are the same people that are into negative camber/stance. When is too much "too much" ? Like most things, it honestly comes down to preference. If you like it, you like it. If you don't, you don't just don't bash on it because its not your style.
